Jessicas Ghost are a Liverpool based indie/folk rock band who draw their influences from far and wide.

The band were formed in June 2006 after founder member, singer and guitarist, Em decided the solo route was not the way forward for her! After a lot of searching double bass player Moxy answered an advert on a music forum. He was closely followed by drummer and percussionist Seb and Al, the band's first Cellist. Sarah joined the band on her return from Australia to play keyboards and Jessicas Ghost were born!

After a few months Al sadly decided to leave the band, Sarah took over as the Cellist and the band were very fortunate to find Martin, a multi-instrumentalist who plays keyboards, mandolin, guitar, harmonica and provides backing vocals to boot!!

Although the band are based in Liverpool, only Martin and Em are originally from Merseyside. Moxy is from Cumbria and lived in London before settling on the Wirral.

Sarah was born in a small town in Canada called Prince Rupert before moving to Ipswich at the age of 4.

Seb is from a town called Gubin in Poland, he moved to the UK around 3 years ago after gigging across europe with his band Prohibicja.

The band have a mixed musical background with all members being classically trained. Em is a brass player (no comments about blowing your own trumpet please!), Moxy plays all manner of odd folk type instruments including flutes, bodhran and mandola, Martin was head chorister at the Liverpool Anglican Cathedral, Sarah trained on both Cello and Piano and Seb also plays the Accordion!!

In the time they have been together the Ghosties have played just about every major live music venue in Liverpool including the Cavern Club, Liverpool Barfly and the Liverpool Carling Academy.

Not content with staying in their home town, Jessicas Ghost have ventured far and wide playing some odd venues along the way.

The Trafford Centre, Manchester saw the band on the big screen, the 2007 Anglesey Beer festival was a jovial event complete with Austrian hats and blonde pig tails and Chester Zoo's Frost Fair was freezing, but then it's not every day you get dancing penguins and polar bears at your gigs! (we kid you not!).

The band have big plans for 2008 including a trip to the recording studio for their 2nd studio release.
